The housing around the post
Off-post housing near the gates on both sides of the state line was built fast over several decades to keep up with the installation's growth. That produced a lot of similar homes: single or two-storey, vinyl siding, architectural-shingle roofs, attached garages and small lots. When one roof in a subdivision reaches replacement age, most of its neighbours do too.
Older homes closer to Clarksville proper add brick ranches with low-slope roofs and attics built before ventilation was taken seriously.
Scheduling around orders
A PCS date is fixed and the weather is not. We schedule roofing and remodeling back from the move date with buffer days for rain, and we prioritise the items that a buyer's inspector or a property manager will flag. If the date moves, the schedule moves with it.
During a deployment, work can proceed with a spouse, a family member or a property manager as the on-site contact, and the full photo record goes to the service member wherever they are.
Selling or renting before you leave
For a sale, the roof is the item that most often derails a closing. A roof inspection report before listing, with any repairs completed, removes that risk. For a rental, the same report plus gutter cleaning and a house wash gets the property ready for a tenant and documents its condition on the day it was handed over.

After a storm we inspect roofs across the surrounding subdivisions, document wind and hail damage for insurance, and dry-in any roof that has been opened. Beware of out-of-town crews working the neighbourhoods after every event.
